Hogwarts is my Home!

You know, if I ever have a chance to escape reality and dive into the fantasy, it would be the HP world. Not just because it has magic and spells, but I would wanna meet new mentors and friends like Harry did. Even if you put the magic aside, this book showed us a new unimaginable level of friendship, love and sacrifice. Remember when your friend volunteered to do something, risking their own life so you can save yours? No? Because that didn’t happen, right? That hardly happens in real life. But I am sure we would love to have such Ron and Hermione beside us. Imagine, we go to school and learn things that will be helpful in our career. We learn to defend ourselves from negative forces; we learn something that will save lives; and most importantly, we have option to choose subjects depending on our career choices. And we have awesome teachers like Hogwarts. What it would be like? Imagine there is bank which is protected by Special Forces to keep our earnings safe.

Under the spell of Harry Potter

I still remember the day when I first read this book. My mom brought a translated version from a local library. As a reading enthusiast, I always used to grab a book as she came and see if I like it. But that day, I just laid my eyes on it for a second and ignored it. Yeah, an animated picture of a boy sitting on a broom and the book name was saying, “AND THE SORCERER’S STONE” (By some mistake, ‘Harry Potter’ was not imprinted on the cover page) My mom was surprised & said, “It’s a famous book, at least take a look.” I am sure she regretted saying it. I took it. I opened it, Harry Potter… Yeah, I have heard about it. It’s famous, I though. I went to my room. At the end of the first chapter, I was called for dinner and I couldn’t wait to go back to read it. THAT…. That was the day, the magical day, where it all began.
